Veteran star Jaya Prada is in mourning once again as the first anniversary of her brother Raja Babu’s death arrives. The actress, known for her timeless performances, shared an intimate and sorrowful message on Instagram, featuring a photo of the late producer who was her pillar of support.
In her note, Jaya expressed, ‘Precious Raja, we miss you more than words can say. Brothers are unique – they shoulder responsibilities like fathers, offer unconditional love like mothers, tease with sisterly affection, and provide unwavering friendship during trials.’ This eloquent description captured the essence of sibling love, drawing empathetic responses from her vast follower base.
Further, she lamented, ‘A year without you feels eternal, dear brother. No day goes by without reminiscing about you. Your affection and shared moments are etched in our hearts forever. We think of you constantly.’ The tribute’s sincerity amplified its reach, trending across social platforms.
Raja Babu passed away in 2025 at a hospital in Hyderabad, news of which Jaya shared online. His cremation followed in the same city. Having tried his hand at acting in films including ‘Sharda’, ‘Sannai Appanna’, and ‘Prem Tapasya’, he faced challenges in gaining prominence. Later, as a producer, he helmed ‘Sawan Ka Mahina’ featuring Jaya and Rishi Kapoor, which unfortunately never hit theaters.
Raja tied the knot with Usha in 1999, building a personal life away from the spotlight. Jaya Prada’s emotional outpouring on this somber occasion highlights the enduring pain of loss and the healing power of public remembrance. It stands as a testament to family loyalty amid the highs and lows of a cinematic career.
