The Karnataka Rajyotsava Awards for 2025 have been announced, with 70 prominent figures selected for their exceptional achievements. Esteemed actor Prakash Raj is among the distinguished awardees. This year’s selection process is groundbreaking, deviating from the norm by not requiring applications. Instead, candidates were chosen based on district-level assessments, social responsibility, and recommendations from the selection panel. A historic moment for the awards is the recognition of two individuals from the Samagar Haralayya community. No organizational awards are being presented this year, but 12 women have been recognized, some of whom had applied independently.
