The Pakistani entertainment world is in mourning following the death of actress Ayesha Khan, whose body was found in her Karachi apartment. The 76-year-old actress was discovered in her Gulshan-e-Iqbal Block 7 residence about a week after her passing. Khan, who had lived alone for some time, was found after neighbors reported a foul odor. The police sent her body for a post-mortem at Jinnah Hospital to determine the cause and time of her death. The body was later moved to the Edhi Foundation’s mortuary. Ayesha Khan was a leading actress during the golden era of Pakistani television and the elder sister of actress Khalida Riyasat. She was known for her work in several television dramas, including Akhri Chattan and Tipu Sultan: The Tiger Lord, and also appeared in films.
