‘Percy Jackson and the Olympians’ collection greenlit at Disney Plus

LOS ANGELES: Disney Plus has formally ordered a live-action collection based mostly on Rick Riordan’s novel “Percy Jackson and the Olympians”.

Riordan introduced the collection decide up in a video message, posted on the streaming service’s official Twitter deal with.

Riordan and Jon Steinberg will write the pilot with James Bobin directing, Disney stated in a press launch.

Riordan began his “Percy Jackson and the Olympians” guide collection with 2005’s “The Lightning Thief”.

The guide turned a success and was adopted by 4 sequels — “The Sea of Monsters” (2006), “The Titan’s Curse” (2007), “The Battle of the Labyrinth” (2008) and “The Last Olympian” (2009).

The books have been beforehand tailored by filmmaker Chris Columbus with a characteristic movie, titled “Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief”.

The movie starred Logan Lerman as Percy Jackson, Alexandra Daddario as Annabeth Chase, and Brandon T. Jackson as Grover.
