Pune police have arrested television actor Ashish Kapoor following a rape allegation made by a woman. The alleged incident occurred during a house party in the second week of August. Police confirmed that the two individuals had connected via Instagram. Kapoor, born on October 17, 1984, in Delhi, began his career as an interior designer before entering the acting world. His acting credits include popular shows like ‘Molkki – Rishton Ki Agnipariksha’ and ‘Woh Apna Sa.’ He is known for his role as Udayveer Singh (Uday) in ‘Dekha Ek Khwaab’. The woman initially alleged multiple attackers but later named Kapoor as the sole assailant. The alleged assault took place inside a washroom at the party venue. The complainant alleged that the assault had been filmed, but the police stated that no such footage had been recovered. She also accused a friend’s wife of physically attacking her outside the washroom.
