Rapper Cardi B to star in Paramount’s ‘Assisted Living’

LOS ANGELES: American rapper Cardi B has discovered her first film as a lead with Paramount comedy “Assisted Living”.
Cardi B, recognized for hit tracks like “Bodak Yellow”, “I Like It” and “WAP”, earlier had a minor look in Jennifer Lopez-starrer “Hustlers”.
Touted as a “raucous comedy” with “tremendous heart”, the brand new film is in the identical vein as classics comparable to “Tootsie”, “Sister Act” and “Mrs.
Doubtfire”, reported Variety.
Cardi B will essay the position of Amber, a small-time criminal who finds herself in over her head when a heist goes flawed.
“On the run from the cops and her former crew, she struggles to seek out wherever to cover.
Running out of choices, Amber disguises herself as an aged girl and hides out within the one place nobody will look her estranged grandmother’s nursing dwelling,” the official plotline learn.
The film relies on an authentic spec script by “This Is Us” scribe Kay Oyegun.
