Actor-director Renuka Shahane says she is toying with the thought of creating a darkish comedy as her third directorial enterprise. Shahane, identified for that includes in films reminiscent of “Hum Aapke Hain Koun..!”, “Masoom” and “Dil Ne Jise Apna Kahaa”, ventured into filmmaking with 2009 Marathi film “Rita”, which was primarily based on her mom’s novel “Rita Welingkar”. The film launched on streamer Netflix on January 15 to rave critiques. Shahane mentioned she is going to proceed to direct movies and has began work on her subsequent mission.
“I wish to maintain directing and I’m engaged on some scripts. I’m thinking about human beings, interpersonal relationships, so journeys of people, who dwell barely unconventional lives.
“I also like comedies, so the next perhaps could be dark-comedy and that is what I am working on right now,” Shahane advised PTI.
The 54-year-old filmmaker was speaking on the sidelines of the launch of &PriveHD’s new property, Prive world field workplace, which is able to carry films from around the globe.
As an artiste, Shahane mentioned she prefers being a part of theatre as a result of that’s an actor’s medium, whereas cinema offers her artistic satisfaction as a author and director.
