Shraddha Kapoor has announced her next major film project. The actress will be seen in the biopic, ‘Vittha’, after ‘Stree 2’ and other potential roles. She will be working with the team that had a successful collaboration with Vicky Kaushal. This film, directed by Laxman Utekar and produced by Dinesh Vijan, will feature Kapoor as Vithabai Narayangaonkar, a Lavani artist celebrated as the ‘Tamasha Queen’. Narayangaonkar was a prominent figure in Maharashtra’s folk theatre, known for her powerful performances and contribution to Marathi culture. The filmmakers have obtained the rights from her family, residing in Pune, and are planning to start the film soon. Casting is currently in progress, with the search for a male lead to star opposite Kapoor. The film is set to explore the connection between Bollywood and regional art forms, building upon the success of ‘Chhava’, which also took place in Pune.
