The latest Karan Johar production, directed by Shashank Khaitan, presents a stylish romcom with both strengths and weaknesses. While the screenplay lacks certain elements, the film shines with its visual presentation, particularly the musical sequences. Janhvi Kapoor, in the title role, is exceptionally attractive, with the camera capturing her with great care. Sanya Malhotra, playing the rival, is also portrayed favorably. The narrative centers around Tulsi Kumari’s attempt to regain her boyfriend, helped by Sunny Sanskari. They both end up at the wedding of their former partners. Their exes are depicted as victims of circumstance. The film explores the lives of the affluent. Set in a high-end Udaipur resort, the film showcases the characters’ amusing antics. The scene where Tulsi and Ananya have a ‘bust competition’ in the restroom is one of the standout moments. Janhvi and Sanya handle the comedic aspects with grace. Janhvi fully embraces her character. Rohit Sharaf delivers a compassionate performance, while Varun Dhawan’s Sunny is lively. The film’s entertainment value lies in its stunning visuals and the characters’ approach to relationships. Karan Johar’s cameo adds a special touch.
