Tom Hanks’ Pinocchio film provides Luke Evans
Welsh actor Luke Evans has boarded the forged of Disney’s upcoming live-action remake of Pinocchio.
Evans, recognized for starring in Fast and Furious collection and Beauty and the Beast, will star alongside Hollywood veteran Tom Hanks, who will play Geppetto within the film, reported Deadline.
Robert Zemeckis, who beforehand labored with Hanks on critically-acclaimed options akin to Forrest Gump, Cast Away and Polar Express, will helm the mission. Chris Weitz has written the script with Zemeckis. The author may also produce the movie with Andrew Miano via their firm Depth of Field.
Disney’s authentic movie, which launched in 1940, was primarily based on the 1883 Italian kids’s novel The Adventures of Pinocchio by Carlo Collodi.
The animated characteristic centres on a wood-carver named Geppetto who carves a picket puppet delivered to life by a fairy and is instructed that he’ll develop into an actual boy if he proves himself to be “brave, truthful, and unselfish”.
The mission is the most recent in a protracted line of Disney’s live-action remakes of its animated films akin to Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast and The Lion King.
