Trevor Noah to provide new documentary collection ‘Tipping Point’

WASHINGTON: South African comic and TV host Trevor Noah, who is not any stranger to unpacking huge political and cultural tales together with his nightly monologue and information satire program, shall be becoming a member of forces with TIME Studios, Sugar23 and P&G Studios for a brand new documentary collection.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Noah will govt produce ‘The Tipping Point’, which is able to discover the shifting developments throughout tradition and deal with matters corresponding to the results of the 2020 election that resulted in voting rights challenges, in addition to LGBTQ+ rights, political polarization and the worldwide refugee disaster.

Noah and Day Zero Productions’ Haroon Saleem will exec produce alongside Michael Sugar, Ashley Zalta and David Hillman of Sugar23 and Ian Orefice and Alexa Conway of TIME Studios.
Norman Aladjem, Derek Van Pelt and Sanaz Yamin of Mainstay Entertainment will even function govt producers.
As per Variety, Ashley Dizon shall be overseeing the mission on behalf of Day Zero Productions, whereas Carrie Rathod, Marc Pritchard and Kimberly Doebereiner will oversee the mission for P&G Studios.
“This series of documentaries is serendipitously positioned for this very moment in time. Each film in The Tipping Point will dig deep to provide an objective and comprehensive view of what is happening, how we got here, and where it could lead. Our talented storytellers are going to take you there, and we’re thrilled to be along for the ride,” stated Sugar, Orefice and Saleem.
Noah is the host of the Emmy and Peabody-winning ‘The Daily Show’ on Comedy Central. He has written, produced and starred in a number of comedy specials and was the topic of David Paul Meyer’s award-winning documentary movie ‘You Laugh But It’s True’, which tells the story of his outstanding profession in post-apartheid South Africa.
