In the upcoming romantic film “Gustaakh Ishq – Kucch Pehle Jaisa,” Vijay Varma takes on the role of Nawabuddin. At a recent trailer launch event, Varma shared how the script resonated with him from the start. “When the script came to me, I felt it celebrated the little joys of life – the script was as sweet as honey,” he stated. The actor expressed his initial surprise at being offered a romantic role, a departure from his typical characters. He credited the filmmakers for their vision in uncovering a new facet of his acting abilities. Varma found the story compelling, especially the multifaceted romantic elements, including a deep connection with Naseeruddin Shah in a teacher-student dynamic, in addition to his romance with Fatima Sana Shaikh. He described “Gustaakh Ishq” as a heartfelt and realistic film, contrasting its focus on authentic passion and life’s struggles with the trend of larger-than-life narratives. The film, also featuring Naseeruddin Shah and Fatima Sana Shaikh, is scheduled for release on November 28th.
