Congress and other opposition parties are continuously raising questions regarding EVMs. Opposition parties are continuously alleging that BJP wins elections by hacking EVMs. However, Congress leader Digvijay Singh has also shown this by doing a demo. Now the statement of former CM Baghel regarding EVM has also come to light. He has also expressed the fear of EVMs being hacked.
Former Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel raised questions on Evm and said, when the machine can be repaired from here on another planet, then what is the big deal about Evm. If Pentagon and PM’s account can be hacked then what is the big deal with EVM? Congress Party’s stand from the beginning has been that elections should be held through ballot. EVMs can be hacked.
Bhupesh Baghel further said, after we won in 2018, the civic elections were conducted through ballot. We won in that also. When we win, questions are raised and when we lose, we raise questions on EVMs. Now the issue regarding EVM has reached the lower level.
