    Review Meeting of Health Department Held Under the Chairmanship of the Chief Minister

    Raipur, May 03, 2025/Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, while instructing all the principal officers of the Health Department, said that health facilities should continue to be expanded in the interest of the general public. He said that better facilities should be ensured for patients in hospitals and they should get good treatment near their homes. Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai was reviewing various schemes of the Health Department today at his residential office in Civil Lines, Raipur.

    Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai has instructed the officials of the Health Department to work on diseases like anemia, maternal program, and leprosy on priority. The Chief Minister said that there will be no shortage in the treatment of the common people and for this, the vacant posts in the Health Department will also be filled soon through PSC and Vyapam.

    In the meeting, Health Minister Shri Shyam Bihari Jaiswal informed about the achievements made in the field of health after the formation of the state government and also presented future plans to the Chief Minister. Secretary of the Health Department, Shri Amit Kataria, while informing about the meeting, said that the state of Chhattisgarh is doing better work towards the eradication of diseases like TB and malaria. The treatment success rate in the direction of TB eradication is 90 percent, while 100 percent TB patients have been notified during this period. Along with this, 94 percent of the vaccination target has been completed in the state by March 2025.

    Chief Secretary Shri Amitabh Jain, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Shri Subodh Kumar Singh, Secretary of Health Department Shri Amit Kataria, Secretary to Chief Minister Shri P Dayanand, Commissioner Medical Education and Commissioner AYUSH Department Smt. Shikha Rajput Tiwari, Managing Director NHM and Commissioner cum Director Dr. Priyanka Shukla, Controller of Food and Drug Department Shri Deepak Agarwal, CGMSC Managing Director Smt. Padmini Bhoi Sahu, and senior officials of the Health Department were present in the review meeting of the Health Department.
