Foundation stones have been laid for new construction and expansion projects at IHM Ranchi, including a vital auditorium, an executive development center, and an enlarged girls’ hostel. The inauguration was performed by esteemed state ministers Shilpi Neha Tirkey and Sudivyav Kumar Sonu. Minister Tirkey, in her address, proposed the establishment of a Small Nagpur Studies and Research Center at Mandar College. She highlighted the consistent academic achievements of students from the Mandar region, who have repeatedly excelled in various examinations, including JPSC. The Minister stressed that the Higher and Technical Education Department should carefully review this proposal, acknowledging the distinct cultural identity of Southern Chotanagpur. She also remarked on the significant skills students acquire through IHM’s programs. Minister Tirkey emphasized that comprehensive development—social, cultural, and educational—is key to achieving the state’s aspirations for ‘Sonanjharhand’.

Minister Sonu, whose ministry covers Tourism, Art-Culture, Sports, and Youth Affairs, characterized Jharkhand as a state with a unique ethos, marked by its distinct culture, language, and traditions. He observed that the current generation deeply understands and values the state’s identity, shaped by its historical journey. Minister Sonu pointed out the transformation in career perceptions within the hospitality industry, attributing this to the influence of institutions like IHM. He underscored the importance of creating local employment opportunities for Jharkhand’s youth. Reaffirming the government’s dedication to tourism promotion, Minister Sonu pledged the full backing of the Tourism Department to IHM’s expansion, ensuring its continued progress. The event saw participation from IHM’s leadership, faculty, and prominent local figures.
