    Rati Pandey, best known for her role in the 2008 series ‘Miley Jab Hum Tum’, has made a successful transition from television to Bhojpuri films. The show, a college-based drama, also featured Mohit Sehgal, Sanaya Irani, and Arjun Bijlani. Notably, she starred in a high-budget Bhojpuri film with Khesari Lal Yadav.     Rati Pandey was born in Assam on September 11, 1982, and her family moved to Patna when she was seven. She attended school in Patna, where she was a classmate of a sister of the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput.

    After her graduation from Delhi University, Rati participated in Idea Zee Cinestars ki Khoj in 2006. This opened doors to her acting career, starting with a role in CID. She then featured in the horror show ‘Raat Hone Ko Hai’ on Sahara One and various commercials. She appeared in shows such as ‘Shaadi Street’ and ‘Har Ghar Kuch Kehta Hai’. She then starred in the college drama ‘Miley Jab Hum Tum’, which ran for two years. In 2011, Rati played the lead in the serial ‘Hitler Didi’.

    She also participated in reality shows like ‘Laughter Ke Phatake’, ‘Comedy Circus’, and ‘Zee Rishtey Awards’. In 2016, Rati starred in the successful series ‘Begusarai’. Further roles followed in ‘Porus’ and ‘Vidya’. In 2020, she appeared in the hit serial ‘Shaadi Mubarak’.

    In 2024, Rati made her Bhojpuri film debut with ‘Rang De Basanti’, alongside Khesari Lal Yadav. The film was considered one of the most expensive Bhojpuri productions and was a box office success. In the film, she portrayed Gauri, and her chemistry with Khesari was a highlight. She then starred in ‘Rishte’ (2025) with Khesari, where her romantic song ‘Lavang Latiya’ received significant appreciation.
