Fakhar Zaman’s Strike Rate Concerns and Asia Cup Implications

In terms of strike rate, among batsmen who have scored at least 200 T20 International runs since 2020, Fakhar Zaman has the third-lowest overall strike rate. Only Ibrahim Zadran and Hazratullah Zazai have worse strike rates. The Asia Cup will also be held on UAE pitches. Given Zaman’s average of less than 18 in the UAE, his selection might be a problem for Pakistan. His strike rate over the last five years is also a concern.
