The FASTag annual pass was launched by the National Highway Authority of India on August 15, 2025, and has seen strong adoption across the country. This pass enhances travel by allowing users to make up to 200 toll-free crossings each year, negating the need to pay per-trip toll charges. It is especially valuable for frequent travelers, delivering time and fuel savings.
The pass is applicable to private cars, jeeps, and vans, enabling them to travel through designated National Highway (NH) and National Expressway (NE) fee plazas without being charged per crossing. The pass is active for one year or until 200 crossings have been completed.
