In the competitive landscape of the September 2025 box office, ‘Ajey The Untold Story of a Yogi’ and ‘Nishaanchi’ are battling for viewership. While Akshay Kumar’s ‘Jolly LLB 3’ dominates, other films are struggling to garner substantial earnings.
The Yogi Adityanath biopic, ‘Ajey The Untold Story of a Yogi,’ had an opening day collection of 25 lakh rupees. The second-day collections slightly improved, totaling 35 lakh rupees, with cumulative earnings reaching 60 lakh rupees in two days. With an estimated budget of 25 crore rupees, the film has a considerable challenge ahead. The weekend performance will be a key indicator of its potential.
Anurag Kashyap’s ‘Nishaanchi’ also saw a subdued response at the box office. The film earned 25 lakh rupees on its opening day, followed by a second-day collection of 30 lakh rupees. The total earnings for the first two days amounted to 55 lakh rupees, and it seems unlikely it will reach 1 crore rupees in its debut weekend.
Both films are performing similarly. While ‘Nishaanchi’ had a higher budget, the collections of the Yogi biopic slightly surpass those of ‘Nishaanchi’. However, considering the initial investment in both movies, the performance is below expectations.
