Ranchi Bandh 2025: During the Ranchi bandh (27 March 2025) in protest against the murder of Ranchi-BJP leader Anil Tiger (27 March 2025), the police of Pandra OP of Ranchi have registered a case on eight including Union Minister of State for Defense Sanjay Seth on charges including obstructing government work, pushing with the police. The case has been registered on the written complaint of Pandra OP in -charge Sub Inspector Manish Kumar. Among them, Lalit Ojha, Kumud Jha, Baiju Soni, Satyanarayana Singh, Pradeep Ojha, Dharmendra Sahu and Ashok Yadav have been made other unknown accused. On the basis of the case registered, the police has started investigation.
Case on written complaint of Pandra OP in -charge
According to the complainant, on the day of the incident, he was on duty with the police force near Piskamod. Meanwhile, the bandh supporters with lathi blocked the Piskamod main road. Despite the persuasion of the police and magistrate, people were not ready to withdraw. Meanwhile, apart from Union Minister of State for Defense cum Ranchi MP Sanjay Seth, 60-70 bandh supporters reached Piskamod and sat on the dharna and blocked the road. Despite repeated persuasion to the MP, the nearby shops were forcibly closed by his supporters. Tires were also burnt on the road, due to which there was a danger of fire in nearby shops. Fearing this, the shopkeepers closed the shops.
Magistrate and police force were shocked
During the Ranchi bandh, the bandh supporters were not ready to obey the police. Supporters shocked the magistrate and the police force. Disrupted government work. Later, somehow the road jam was removed in view of the problem of students and patients. On 26 March 2025, BJP leader Anil Tiger was killed in broad daylight by criminals at Kanke Chowk in Kanke police station area of Ranchi. People blocked Kanke Chowk against this. The next day Jharkhand bandh was announced. BJP and AJSU announced the Ranchi bandh.
