    AC burst after a fire broke out in the trauma center at 7 am. 10 patients were admitted in the trauma center, their lives were in danger. The seriously injured patient is on ventilator.

    Gwalior. Naiduniya representative. A fire broke out in the Trauma Centre ICU of JAH, the biggest hospital of the region, at 7 am on Tuesday morning due to a ceiling AC bursting. Amid the chaos caused by smoke filling the ICU, relatives started controlling the fire and saving the patients. In this chaos, two patients died due to removal of ventilator support. The other nine patients were taken to a safe place, but their condition remains critical. At the time of the accident, ten patients were admitted in the ICU. All were put on ventilator support. On receiving information about the fire, the fire brigade reached the spot and controlled the fire.

    Shivpuri Congress leader Azad Khan (55), who lost his life during the accident, was admitted to the ICU of the Trauma Center three days ago. He was referred from Shivpuri Medical College in critical condition. Along with this, a woman Rajni also died when the ventilator support was removed while changing the ward. On receiving the information of the fire, Dean of Gajra Raja Medical College Dr. RKS Dhakad, Hospital Superintendent Dr. Sudhir Saxena reached the spot. Instructions were given to shift the patients admitted in the ICU to the Head Injury Ward of Neurosurgery. On receiving the information, Divisional Commissioner Manoj Khatri, Collector Ruchika Chauhan also reached the spot and took information about the accident. During this, Divisional Commissioner Khatri gave instructions to conduct security audit along with electric audit.

    The doctor did not come when called

    When the AC caught fire, the ICU was filled with smoke. Everyone was busy taking their patients out. We were also taking our father out when his ventilator support got removed. We called the doctors but no one listened to us, after which we put the ventilator on ourselves. After this, the doctor came and told us that his heart had stopped beating.
