Raipur 15 December / A surprise inspection of rice mills located in Raipur, Dhamtari, Mahasamund and Rajnandgaon districts was conducted today by the Food Department team, in which R.T. Legal action was taken on the premises of Rice Mill (Prof. Pramod Jain). R.T. Even after the rice mill got registered for custom milling in the Kharif marketing year 2024-25, the permission and contract has not been executed. Government paddy is not being lifted. 390 quintals of uncooked rice and 1200 quintals of paddy were found for free sale purpose in the mill premises, which is prima facie a violation of Chhattisgarh Custom Milling Rice Procurement Order, 2016. The mill premises have been sealed and paddy and rice have been confiscated. Tehsildar Mr. Babulal Kurre, Naib Tehsildar Mr. Rajendra Chandrakar, Assistant Food Officer Mrs. Bindu Pradhan were included in the investigation team.
Apart from this, the investigation team has raided Srivastava Rice Mill, Narayan Rice Mill, Ma Lakshmi Rice Mill in District Mahasamund, Akanksha Rice Mill in District Dhamtari, Atul Rice Mill in District Rajnandgaon and investigation is being done as per the rules.
