    Ranchi. Hemant Soren will take oath as CM of Jharkhand for the fourth time at 4 pm on Thursday. Top leaders of ‘India’ block from across the country are gathering for the swearing-in ceremony to be held at Morhabadi Maidan in Ranchi. Before taking oath, Hemant Soren in his message to the people of the state said, ‘The message of unity in diversity given by the people of Jharkhand in the assembly elections for the creation of ‘Sona Jharkhand’ is historic. Amazing, unforgettable. The Abua government will work with full sensitivity and new energy to fulfill the dreams of the brave ancestors and the hopes and aspirations of the people of the state. The names of the ministers of the new government have not been decided yet, so Hemant Soren will take oath alone. According to sources close to the government, the cabinet will be expanded after proving the trust vote in the assembly. All preparations have been completed to make the ceremony grand. More than one lakh people are expected to attend the programme. In view of the traffic load on the roads, all the government and private schools of Ranchi have been kept closed today. The administration has also stopped the operation of autos and e-rickshaws in the city.

    Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi, NCP President Sharad Pawar, West Bengal Chief Minister and TMC President Mamata Banerjee, Aam Aadmi Party President and former Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal attended the swearing-in ceremony. , Samajwadi Party President and former UP CM Akhilesh Yadav, Meghalaya Chief Minister Korad Kongkal Sangma, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu, CPI ML General Secretary Dipankar Bhattacharya, Shiv Sena (Uddhav) President Uddhav Thackeray, former Jammu and Kashmir CM Mehbooba Mufti, Tamil Nadu Deputy CM Uday Stalin, Karnataka Deputy CM D.K. Shivkumar, Leader of Opposition in Bihar Assembly Tejashwi Yadav, former Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia, Bihar MP Pappu Yadav and Aam Aadmi Party Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh will be present at the function. Hemant Soren will be the first leader to take oath as Chief Minister of Jharkhand for the fourth time. Before this, he had taken oath as CM for the first time on July 13, 2013 in the government formed with the support of JMM, Congress and RJD alliance. The tenure of this government was till 23 December 2014. He took oath for the second time on 29 December 2019. He had to resign from the post of CM after he was arrested by ED on 31 January 2024. After coming out on bail, he took oath as CM for the third time on July 4, 2024. Before Hemant Soren, his father Shibu Soren and BJP’s Arjun Munda had taken oath as CM thrice each.
