Tilka Manjhi Bhagalpur University in Bihar is dealing with a crisis as students have received fake marksheets and certificates. This has created significant problems for the students, preventing them from getting jobs and pursuing further education. They are left seeking remedies with no immediate help in sight.

The university, which has a history of controversies, is once again embroiled in a scandal. This time, the issue centers on the distribution of fake marksheets. It is alleged that these documents are being sold to students for financial gain. The discovery of this scam was made by a student from a college affiliated with the university, leading to a surge of complaints.

Further investigation revealed that examination department staff were involved in selling fake marksheets and admit cards. This impacted around 24 to 36 students, with fees ranging from 4,000 to 20,000 rupees.

Following the exposure of the scam, Vice-Chancellor Professor Jawaharlal took steps to address the situation, visiting the administrative building and rebuking staff and the examination controller. Irregularities were found on employees’ mobile phones, and instructions were given to file an FIR. However, beyond the suspension of employee Sanjay Kumar, there has been no additional action. As a result, students with fake marksheets are left navigating the situation, seeking assistance from the Vice-Chancellor, MLAs, and other officials, but without any real solutions.

Ajit Sharma, the MLA from Bhagalpur, has written to the education department and Raj Bhavan, asking for a high-level committee to be formed to investigate the matter and take action against those responsible. Similar letters have also been dispatched to Raj Bhavan and the Education Minister, seeking their intervention and assistance.
