Fans might witness an extraordinary sporting moment as Lionel Messi is slated to participate in a seven-a-side exhibition cricket match at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium on December 14. Sources suggest the Argentine football legend will be playing alongside Indian cricket stars MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli, Sachin Tendulkar, and Rohit Sharma. Messi’s India trip, which is scheduled for December 13 to 15, will also include visits to New Delhi and Kolkata. This marks his second visit to the country, the first being in 2011. The event is being organized by an event management agency, with confirmation expected once details are finalized. Messi, currently playing for Inter Miami, aims to compete in the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
