Europe’s primary concern shifted from assisting Ukraine and limiting Russia’s involvement in the war to focusing on its own security. The situation has changed. Preparations for a potential conflict with Russia have begun. This has followed drone incursions across multiple countries, starting with Poland. Russia has remained silent, but experts believe that Putin is either trying to intimidate Europe to distract from Ukraine or is planning a full-scale confrontation.

Drones, even without explosives, can pose a significant threat. Recent drone activity, extending beyond the Russia-Ukraine border, is escalating tensions globally. Many European countries are alarmed by the unauthorized drone activity. Russia has not commented, but Europe suspects that these events are part of Russia’s European strategy.

Germany experienced a drone reconnaissance incident. There was also a drone incursion in the Netherlands, which raised espionage suspicions. These incidents have convinced Europe that a major war is approaching. Currently, the focus is on downing drones, but European countries are preparing for a large conflict. French President Emmanuel Macron has stated that any violation of European airspace will not be tolerated, and that they are in a state of conflict with Russia.

France is ready to respond to Russia, due to various reasons that have influenced Putin’s actions. Russia has experienced refinery fires and oil shortages due to Ukraine. Russia has been damaged; will Putin remain silent? Is Europe now Russia’s biggest enemy?
