    Representative, Pathargama: Like every year, this year also the 63rd Sido-Kanhu Bejhatunj fair cum sports competition was organized at the Kerwar ground under the Kerwar Panchayat of the block. This two-day competition came to a grand conclusion with prize distribution late on Saturday evening. In the closing ceremony of the program, the winning participants were honored by the fair committee. As the chief guest, block chief Awadhesh Sah, ZIP member Poonam Devi, Kerwar Panchayat head Ashalata Murmu and many other distinguished guests presented awards to the winners. Many exciting games were organized in this competition, which included 100 meter race, 400 meter race, balloon bursting, pot bursting, high jump, shooting, jalebi race, back race, Sido-Kanhu drama, grease pole race, chair race and shot put. Games like putt were included. In this fair, along with toys and makeup shops for children, dozens of slider and food shops were set up. Women, men and children enjoyed the fair immensely. List of winners of the competition: Rameshwar Marandi, Sanjhla Kisku and Gopin Murmu in shooting, Upendra Hembram, Lovely Rohit and Bunty Yadav in 100 meter race, Rakesh Chaude, Bhavesh Kumar Yadav and Pankaj Kumar in 200 meter race, Upendra Hembram, Sintu in 400 meter race. Soren and Deepak Kumar, Ajay in 800 meter race, Upendra and Nehru in high jump. Upendra Hembram, Asif Qureshi and Tejnarayan Tudu, Anjali, Gudiya and Asha in chair race, Upendra, Asif and Shravan in long jump, Netlal, Siman and Jitendra in Greece pole race, Mahadev, Pradeep and Anand in back race, Asif in shot put. , Prakash and Ajit, in the drama Sido-Kanhu the team of Dr. Manoj Kisku, Santosh Murmu and Suksen Murmu stood first and second respectively. And remained third. Sido-Kanhu Bejhatunj fair of Kerwar is one of the most popular fairs of the block. This fair is known for its cultural and social heritage.
