The recent railgun tests by Japan highlight its commitment to advanced military technology. The United States ceased its railgun project in 2021, focusing on laser warfare and hypersonic weapons instead. China has also been actively testing its railgun since 2014. Furthermore, China recently showcased its naval laser weapon during a victory parade, capable of downing drones and missiles. Japan is expected to conduct more tests, and if successful, the railgun will soon be deployed on Japanese warships.
