Donald Trump has once again drawn attention for his remarks, this time by mistakenly identifying Iran as India and asserting that tariffs were the decisive factor in preventing a nuclear war between Pakistan and Iran. Speaking to the press, Trump detailed how he warned Iran and Pakistan that a 200% tariff would be imposed if they went to war. He confidently stated that his ultimatum worked, halting the conflict within a day and averting a devastating war that could have claimed millions of lives. Trump championed tariffs as an indispensable element of national security. He also revisited his claim of ending eight wars within his first eight months as president, questioning why such accomplishments didn’t earn him a Nobel Peace Prize but emphasizing that the preservation of lives was his ultimate reward.
