With the new facility, there is no need for OT for small urine related surgeries. 10 to 12 operations are being done daily in the cystoscopy room. The patient is discharged the same day after treatment.
Navdunia Representative, Bhopal. Now in AIIMS Bhopal, one will not have to wait for two months for ten small operations like tumor, stone of urinal bladder. While these operations cost up to 50 thousand rupees in private hospitals, now in AIIMS Bhopal these operations can be done for only 500 rupees. Now this problem will end with the cystoscopy room started on Thursday.
In this room, 10 to 12 such small operations will be done daily, for which till now an operation theatre was required. Not only this, the patient will also be discharged on the day of these small operations. Along with this, tumors and stones of the urinary bladder can be removed here. Not only this, urinary tract cancer can also be examined in the cystoscopy room. The problem of bleeding in the urinary tract can also be prevented.
In this room, tests before prostate operation and other small operations related to urology department can be done. After removing the stone from the kidney, DJ stent is inserted in the urinary tract so that there is no obstruction. It has to be removed within 14 to 21 days of surgery. This can also be done in this room.

Urology department’s HOD Dr. Devashish Kaushal told that all these small operations of the department cost around 50 thousand in private hospitals. Whereas this facility will be available in AIIMS Bhopal for only 500 rupees. Whereas it will be free for BPL and Ayushman patients. Here all the patients are admitted in the day care in the morning. After surgery, they are discharged in the evening of the same day. In the last one year, around two thousand operations were done in the hospital. Now more than three thousand operations can be done.
With the cystoscopy room started in the urology department, small operations of more patients will be possible in the future. People will not have to wait for long for this. All these operations will be done as per day care.
