    Governor Shri Ramen Deka met the Lakhpati Didis of the district during his visit to Kabirdham on Wednesday at the historic and religious heritage Bhoramdev temple premises. The Governor observed the stalls of various self-help groups set up in the exhibition and appreciated the livelihood-based work being done by the women, encouraging them to move forward.

    On this occasion, the Governor listened carefully to the success stories of the women and appreciated their innovations and the positive changes in their lives.

    Governor Shri Deka met Sukhiya Baiga of Dholbazza and took information about the baskets, mats and decorative materials made by her group Maa Lakshmi Self-Help Group from bamboo. He said that the monthly income of the group is up to 12 to 15 thousand rupees. Similarly, during a conversation with the women of Annapurna Self-Help Group of village Silhati, the Governor learned about their bakery business, nutritious products from Kodo-Kutki and the process of preparing Mahua Ladoo. The women said that they have received a loan and grant of Rs 3 lakh from the government, which has led to a significant increase in the income of the group.

    Governor Shri Raman Deka specially appreciated the initiative of organic farming and black rice production by the Ekta group, calling it innovative. He said that the conservation of the disappearing species of traditional paddy is an important step for the future. The women of the group informed that they earn up to Rs 2 to 3 lakh in a season from seed production and marketing.

    In the same vein, the Governor met the women of Amin Mata Self-Help Group, who are earning good income in the market by making bags, purses and bags from clothes. He told the women that such ventures would not only lead to economic empowerment but also contribute to environmental protection.

    During this, Governor Shri Deka also distributed safety kits to honey collectors of Taregaon and Singhari committees on behalf of the Forest Department. He took detailed information about medicinal products, honey and other materials from the groups and said that these activities would strengthen the rural economy.

    Governor Shri Deka, while giving tips to Lakhpati Didis, said that special attention should be given to the quality and packaging of the products. Online marketing and digital platforms can be used to increase it. Give recognition to traditional products at the state and national level by branding them. On this occasion, Governor Shri Ramen Deka honored all the Lakhpati Didis by presenting them with commendation letters.

    On this occasion, Collector Shri Gopal Verma, Divisional Forest Officer Shri Nikhil Agarwal and District Panchayat CEO Shri Ajay Tripathi and other officers were present.
