The Mahindra Thar Roxx was introduced as a five-door version of the popular Mahindra Thar three-door SUV. As a result of the price adjustments, the Mahindra Thar Roxx is now available for between ₹12.25 lakh (ex-showroom) and ₹22.06 lakh (ex-showroom). The price reductions for the Mahindra Thar Roxx range from about ₹74,000 to ₹1.33 lakh (ex-showroom), rendering it more affordable under the GST 2.0 system.

The lowest price reduction of ₹74,000 is applicable to the Thar Roxx’s entry-level MX1 RWD MT petrol variant. The petrol variants of the SUV have seen price cuts of up to ₹1.18 lakh. The top-of-the-line AX7L 4WD diesel-automatic variant of the Thar Roxx has the highest price reduction of ₹1.33 lakh. This change is anticipated to stimulate SUV sales during the festival season.

The price cuts for the Mahindra Thar Roxx were made despite a 12% rise in the GST rate for this SUV. The Thar Roxx was previously subject to 28% GST, but under the new tax rules, it will now attract 40% GST due to its length of more than 4,000 mm and engine capacity of more than 1,500 cc. Previously, the total tax on this SUV was 48%, which included 28% GST and 20% cess.
