The automotive industry is witnessing rapid growth, largely due to the positive impact of GST reforms. Maruti Suzuki, the leading car manufacturer in India, has successfully sold 80,000 vehicles since the beginning of Navratri. The reduced GST on cars has led to a significant increase in customer activity in showrooms. The new prices are applicable until December 31, 2025. With the remainder of the Navratri period, sales are anticipated to potentially exceed one lakh units.

Maruti Suzuki’s car subscription service further enhances customer appeal by offering cars with a monthly fee starting at ₹1,999. The plan includes the cost of the car, insurance, maintenance, and road tax. Additionally, the recent decrease in the repo rate has resulted in lower EMIs, making loan management more accessible.

Due to the increased demand, car deliveries may be slightly delayed. Deliveries were temporarily halted until September 20 and resumed on September 22. Consequently, numerous vehicles are currently in transit, which might result in a short wait for customers.

Significant price drops are available on Maruti SUVs. The Brezza is now up to ₹1.12 lakh cheaper. New prices range from ₹8.26 lakh to ₹11.31 lakh ex-showroom. The Grand Vitara has seen reductions of up to ₹1.06 lakh. New prices range from ₹15.78 lakh to ₹19.50 lakh ex-showroom. The Fronx is up to ₹1.11 lakh cheaper, with the entry-level variant at ₹6.85 lakh and the top variant at ₹11.84 lakh ex-showroom. The Jimny’s starting price is now ₹12.32 lakh. Post-GST cuts, the Maruti S-Presso has become the most economical car in the country, with the base model available at just ₹3.50 lakh.
