A tragic bridge collapse in Vadodara, Gujarat, has resulted in the loss of nine lives. The incident occurred when a section of the Gambhira bridge collapsed, sending vehicles into the Mahisagar river. Emergency responders, including the NDRF, are on-site, conducting rescue operations. The collapse involved a mid-bridge slab failure, estimated to be 10-15 meters long. Authorities have confirmed that several vehicles, including trucks and a rickshaw, were affected. Financial assistance has been announced by the Prime Minister for the families of the deceased. Home Minister Amit Shah offered condolences.
