    Naiduniya representative, Gwalior. Murar police station of Madhya Pradesh has caught a gang of thieves from Bijnor in Uttar Pradesh. These people used to target people in passenger vehicles. They would sit as passengers and using a surgical blade, they would cut the bag and pocket of the passenger sitting next to them and steal valuables including money and jewelry.

    These thieves would stay in one city for four to five days. After committing the crime, they would leave for another city. Police have also recovered a pistol from this gang. Police is interrogating them. Incidents of theft in passenger vehicles were happening continuously in Gwalior. SP Dharmveer Singh had instructed all the station in-charges to keep an eye on people looking suspicious in passenger vehicles.

    Information was received from the informer that a gang is active near Murar’s Ramlila Maidan. Members of this gang are staying in a hotel, they leave early in the morning and return to the hotel in the evening. The police team surrounded the hotel and caught four people. Surgical blades and a pistol were recovered from all of them. When questioned, they told that they have committed thefts in Bijnor, Patna, Lucknow. They have come to Gwalior to commit theft.

    Mohammad Ejaz resident of village Sabdalpur, Himpurdeepa, Bijnor, Ahmed Hasan resident of village Bhogwala, Madawali, Bijnor, Nafees Ahmed resident of village Faridpur, Bhogwala, Bijnor, Sabud Ahmed resident of village Sabdalpur, Himpurdeepa, Bijnor have been arrested.

    Used to stay in hotels, also give share to auto drivers

    When the arrested thieves were questioned, they told that they used to stay in hotels and also made auto drivers partners. These people were already seated in the auto. On the way, they used to make only those people sit in the auto who were accompanied by women. Newly married women were their target.
