The air quality in Delhi has turned toxic, with pollution levels reaching alarming heights and hovering near the ‘Severe’ category. On Monday, the Air Quality Index (AQI) across the capital reached 397, signaling a public health alert. Data from monitoring stations indicates that 20 out of 39 locations in Delhi reported AQI levels within the Severe range, indicating widespread hazardous air quality.

Noida experienced particularly severe pollution, with its AQI surging to 413, placing it definitively in the Severe category. Many other parts of the NCR are also suffering from drastically poor air quality. Jahangirpuri recorded a staggering AQI of 455, identified as a major pollution hotspot. Significant pollution was also observed in Rohini (458), Delhi Technological University (444), Anand Vihar (442), Bawana (439), Ashok Vihar (436), Burari (433), Alipur (412), ITO (409), and Dwarka (401).
