    Raipur,
Health Minister Shri Shyam Bihari Jayswal participated in a two-day state-level review meeting of the Health Department held on Friday at the Circuit House auditorium in Civil Lines. This review meeting, which began on Friday, will continue for two days. On the first day of the review meeting, the Health Minister reviewed the department’s work in detail. Addressing the health department officials, Shri Jayswal said that all officers and doctors should work selflessly, keeping in mind the health of the common people.

He stated that at the state level, work is continuously being done to expand health facilities under the directions of Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai. The construction of a super specialty hospital in Bilaspur at a cost of ₹200 crore, the ₹231 crore e-tender for a new 700-bed integrated hospital building in Mekahara, Raipur, the ₹1020 crore e-tender for four new medical colleges, the recruitment of more than 800 medical officers, specialist doctors, and paramedical staff within one year through the National Health Mission, and the introduction of Hindi medium for MBBS studies in the state—all these decisions have strengthened health services in the state. Shri Jayswal gave necessary instructions to the health department officials for better operation and implementation of the schemes, stating that the benefits of health services should be ensured to the common people. Senior departmental officials, as well as officers from the districts, were present at the departmental review meeting.
