Roughly 2.88 lakh families are now registered, encompassing everyday households, retirees, public servants, and AB-PMJAY participants—securing coverage for 11.55 lakh lives.
Utilization data shows 29 percent of families filing claims this fiscal year, equating to seven percent of beneficiaries, with an average payout of Rs 15,106 per case.
Government hospitals account for 70 percent of claims, highlighting a shift towards public reliance, while private claims spike for serious ailments due to higher costs.
