Following the early arrival of the Southwest Monsoon, heavy rainfall was observed in many states. However, the period of heavy rain has now ceased. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) anticipates typical weather across the country for the time being. Delhi-NCR, along with other regions, is once again experiencing the effects of intense heat.

In Delhi, the capital, heat is prevalent after the recent rains. The weather department does not predict any rain in the coming days. Today, the weather is expected to be clear, with a maximum temperature of 40 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 26 degrees Celsius. The temperature could stay above 40 degrees Celsius from tomorrow, June 14th. This means Delhi residents will face heat for the next five days.

Uttar Pradesh is also suffering from the heat. The state is experiencing intense sunshine during the day, resulting in considerable heat. According to the weather department, there is no prospect of rain in the state until June 11. Heat waves may affect Bundelkhand, Vindhya, and adjacent areas from June 9 to 11. From June 11, easterly winds could activate in eastern Uttar Pradesh, potentially initiating rain.

In Bihar, the weather will be dry in most districts today. Patna, the state’s capital, may have a maximum temperature of 37 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 27 degrees Celsius. The weather department has issued a warning for rain to commence from June 10. Prior to this, the state may experience humid heat. There could be an increase of up to four degrees in the maximum and minimum temperatures. Meanwhile, light rain and thunderstorms are possible in the evening in several districts, including Ranchi, the capital of Jharkhand.

Severe heat is expected in specific states, while rainfall is expected in Northeast India. Heat waves may occur in western Rajasthan from June 8-11, Punjab, and Haryana from June 9-11, and northern Madhya Pradesh on June 9 and 10. Heavy rainfall is predicted for South India and the northeastern states from June 10. Light to moderate rain is likely in most areas of Northeast India over the next seven days.

Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh are currently experiencing intense heat. Uttarakhand’s mountainous areas are receiving intense sunshine, causing heat. However, the weather on the mountains will quickly change. There is a possibility of rain in several areas of Himachal Pradesh on June 12-13.
