Chief Minister Hemant Soren will spend 13 days in his ancestral village, Nemra, after the last rites of his father, Shibu Soren, also known as Dishom Guru. This time will be devoted to the completion of the 13th-day rituals, a significant part of the mourning process. He will follow traditional practices by praying to the Marang Buru deity for the peace of his father’s soul and spiritual mentor, Shibu Soren. The rituals will be attended by Hemant Soren’s wife, Kalpana Soren, his brother Basant Soren, other relatives, and residents of the village. During his stay, the Chief Minister’s office will temporarily operate from Nemra. The Ramgarh district administration is also establishing a temporary office in the same village. Internet connectivity is being arranged for the office. A Jio setup is being prepared on the BSNL tower in Nemra. For the past two days, district administration officials and police officers providing security have been present in Nemra, communicating via walkie-talkies due to the lack of a mobile network. To avoid such problems, measures are being taken to ensure uninterrupted mobile network and internet access for the next 13 days.
