Hero MotoCorp, the leading two-wheeler manufacturer in India, experienced robust performance in September 2025. The company reported a total dispatch of 687,220 units, an 8% increase from the 637,050 units dispatched in September 2024. This also represents a substantial increase of 24% compared to the 553,727 units dispatched in August 2025.

Moreover, Hero MotoCorp demonstrated impressive growth with a 19% increase in year-on-year registrations, reaching 323,230 vehicles in September. The company achieved a significant milestone by producing 125 million two-wheelers, making it the first Indian two-wheeler company to reach this level of production.

Motorcycles, a crucial component of Hero’s sales, saw 626,217 units sold in September 2025. This represents approximately a 5% increase from the 597,529 units sold in September 2024. Positive momentum was also seen compared to August 2025. While YTD sales figures showed a slight decline, with 28,02,266 units sold this year versus 28,57,090 units last year.

The scooter segment played a key role in driving Hero’s growth. In September 2025, scooter dispatches reached 61,003 units, marking a 54% increase compared to the 39,521 units in September 2024. The YTD scooter sales figures also showed a healthy 29% increase, reaching 2,55,506 units.

Hero’s EV subsidiary, Vida, also contributed significantly, with 12,736 EV units registered in September 2025. The EV market share expanded to 12.2% from 4.7% the previous year. The Vida VX2 model, in particular, saw strong demand exceeding supply in several cities, thus contributing to the EV portfolio’s success.

Sales were also buoyed by GST reforms and the onset of the festive season. The company’s launch of 12 new or updated products over the last year contributed to increased bookings and dealership visits.
