Hero Vida is set to launch the VX2, its latest electric scooter model, following a period of testing in India. The launch date is scheduled for July 1st. The VX2 will have a distinct design and feature set, while maintaining the same foundational platform as the existing V2 models.

One of the key highlights of the VX2 is its anticipated affordability, offering a more accessible price point compared to the V2 series. Dealership sightings have shown the VX2 with a more understated and conventional design. Despite its different aesthetics, the VX2 will share crucial internal components, such as the battery, motor, chassis, and electronics, with the V2 models. This strategic approach helps Hero streamline manufacturing processes and achieve cost efficiencies.

The current Hero Vida lineup starts with the V2 Lite at Rs 74,000 and goes up to Rs 1.20 lakh for the V2 Pro. Pricing for the VX2 has not been officially released. The launch date is set for July 1.

Before the official unveiling, the affordable Vida VX2 was spotted without camouflage, revealing potential multiple variants. Images released by Car And Bike.com suggested possible trim levels such as Lite, Plus, and Pro. The VX2 is expected to have a starting price of approximately Rs 74,000 ex-showroom for the base variant, with the mid-spec version priced at Rs 85,000 and the top-spec at Rs 1,15,300. The scooter is also expected to be equipped with front disc brakes and telescopic front and rear shock absorbers.

The scooter featured a digital dashboard with joystick controls and an SOS button to enhance user safety.

Similar to the V2, the Vida VX2 will include a removable battery system. The model lineup will likely mirror that of the V2, with Lite, Plus, and Pro trims. The base model may come equipped with a 2.2 KWH pack, while the top spec will likely feature a 3.4 KWH battery. A report by Car and Bike .com suggests the Vida VX2 will utilize a permanent magnet motor, with an output likely lower than the V2’s peak of 6Kw.
