Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla, who enhanced India’s reputation by successfully completing a space journey, was given an enthusiastic welcome in Lucknow. Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak expressed his delight at the astronaut’s return, noting that the city was incredibly proud. The residents of Lucknow had eagerly anticipated his arrival after his successful mission. The city showed a great outpouring of love and excitement to welcome him back.
Shukla’s family, along with many Lucknow residents, had waited with bated breath for his arrival. His neighborhood, Triveni Nagar, was filled with celebration, with decorations and posters. Children and fans greeted him with great enthusiasm upon his arrival. BJP workers were seen showering flowers on his convoy. The people of Lucknow waved the Indian flag as they waited to welcome him back. Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla completed his 18-day journey to the International Space Station (ISS) and returned to Earth on July 15, 2025.
