Highway Heroes Season 2, a collaborative project by TV9 Network and Shriram Finance, reached a significant milestone. The program aimed to give recognition to truck drivers and enhance their well-being. Hundreds of truck drivers were trained via the Logistics Skill Council (LSC) and earned Level-4 certificates, which hold the same value as a 12th-grade education, and will help them with their careers and driving license renewals. The closing event included a panel discussion to talk about how to make the lives of truck drivers easier, safer and more dignified. Twelve drivers were honored on stage. The program incorporated various elements, including health check-ups, yoga sessions, TB awareness initiatives, financial literacy tips, and career guidance. The Minister of State, Harsh Malhotra, was the chief guest at the closing ceremony and spoke highly of the initiative, recognizing the vital role of truck drivers in driving the nation’s economy forward. The grand finale also initiated new discussions on improving the lives of truck drivers.
