    Himachal Pradesh is facing a crisis as the death toll climbs to 80 due to heavy rainfall and related incidents. The State Disaster Management Authority (SDMA) reported that 52 deaths were caused by landslides, flash floods, and cloudbursts, while 28 deaths resulted from other factors, including road accidents. Mandi district was the hardest hit, with 17 rain-related deaths, followed by Kangra with 11. The SDMA report, spanning June 20 to July 7, also documented deaths caused by electrocution, snake bites, and falls. Furthermore, 128 people were injured, 320 houses were completely destroyed, and 38 were partially damaged. Additionally, 10,254 livestock and poultry perished. Public infrastructure suffered damage totaling Rs 69,265.60 lakh. The monsoon season has brought 23 flash floods, 19 cloudbursts, and 16 landslides. Massive damage has been reported to crops, roads, bridges, and power infrastructure. Rescue operations are underway, and the public is advised to stay alert.
