Prior to Tuesday’s game, both bowlers were locked at 151 wickets. The record-breaking moment arrived for Sharma in the 14th over of Sri Lanka’s run chase.
She managed to trap Nilakshika Silva in front after the batter attempted a boundary-hitting shot, securing her 152nd T20I wicket.
