    In the 23rd match of The Hundred League, the Trent Rockets scored 171 runs with the loss of seven wickets in 100 balls. Chasing a target of 172 runs, the Oval Invincibles started slowly. However, the entry of Jordan Cox and Sam Curran injected energy and speed into the game. They added 96 runs in 42 balls, moving the team closer to victory. Ultimately, Cox and Donovan Ferreira (14) accelerated the scoring, securing a 6-wicket win for the team with 11 balls left to play.

    Jordan Cox, the 24-year-old wicketkeeper-batsman, remained unbeaten, scoring 58 runs off 32 balls, which included 4 sixes and 5 fours. Sam Curran played an aggressive innings, scoring 54 runs from 24 balls, hitting 6 sixes and 2 fours. For the Trent Rockets, Rehan Ahmed took the most wickets with two. David Willey and Ben Sanderson each took a wicket. Earlier, the Trent Rockets had started strongly against the Oval Invincibles.

    Trent Rockets’ Aggressive Start

    Batting first against the Oval Invincibles, Trent Rockets began with a quick start. Tom Banton (9) and Joe Root scored 55 runs in just 28 balls for the first wicket. After Banton’s dismissal, Root continued with Rehan Ahmed (28), helping the team cross the 100-run mark. Despite the team’s struggles later, Joe Root kept scoring quickly, finishing with 76 runs from 41 balls, including 11 fours and 1 six.

    Later in the innings, George Linde scored a quick 25 runs in 8 balls, including 1 four and 3 sixes, helping the Trent Rockets reach 171 for 7 in 100 balls. For the Oval Invincibles, Rashid Khan and Tom Curran each took two wickets. Jason Behrendorff and Nathan Sowter each claimed one wicket.
