Ekta Kapoor’s ‘Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi’ is back with a second season. The show has regained its popularity after 17 years, bringing back the much-loved on-screen couple Karan and Nandini, played by Hiten Tejwani and Gauri Pradhan, whose relationship extended beyond the screen. The couple got married 20 years ago and their love continues to flourish.
Their first encounter was through a soap advertisement, which Ekta Kapoor noticed. Kapoor was looking for the lead pair for her serial, ‘Kutumb.’ Hiten and Gauri were offered the roles and the show aired in 2001. Gauri, a serious person, was often seen reading, while Hiten, with his lively personality, was known to socialize. The couple married in 2004 following Sindhi rituals. They became parents to twins, a son and a daughter, in 2009. Despite nearly two decades of marriage, Hiten and Gauri’s bond remains strong. They are now revisiting their roles as Karan and Nandini in ‘Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2’, entertaining audiences once again.
