The crime-comedy Housefull 5, starring Akshay Kumar, Abhishek Bachchan, and Riteish Deshmukh, is experiencing considerable success. The film has adopted a unique release strategy with two versions, each featuring a different conclusion. The story is set on a luxury cruise ship, where a billionaire meets an untimely demise. The film’s fifth-day collection is estimated at ₹10.75 crore, bringing the total to ₹111.25 crore within the first five days.

The film’s success began with an opening day collection of ₹24 crore. The earnings rose to ₹31 crore on Day 2, marking a 29.17% increase, followed by ₹32.5 crore on Day 3. Day 4, however, saw a significant dip, with collections dropping to ₹13 crore.

The plot involves mysterious murders, investigated by Sanjay Dutt and Jackie Shroff, who play police officers. Two versions provide distinct conclusions. Version ‘A’ reveals Abhishek Bachchan and Fardeen Khan as the killers, while the second version has Chitrangda Singh and Abhishek Bachchan as the culprits. Bobby Deol makes a cameo as the real Jolly, after the fake Jollys are exposed. The film features a star-studded cast, including Sanjay Dutt, Fardeen Khan, Shreyas Talpade, Nana Patekar, Dino Morea, Chunky Pandey, and Johnny Lever, with Jacqueline Fernandez, Nargis Fakhri, Chitrangada Singh, Sonam Bajwa, and Soundarya Sharma as the female leads.
