Durg : News that puts humanity to shame is coming out from the district, where the dead body of a newborn was seen in the drain near Shivaji Nagar Church in Khursipar while cleaning the drain on Thursday afternoon. As soon as information about this was received, people gathered at the spot. Khursipar police was immediately informed. Khursipar police reached the spot and sent the body of the newborn to the PM. At present the matter is being investigated.
According to the information received, between 1 to 2 pm on Thursday afternoon, Khursipar police received information that the dead body of a newborn was lying in the drain near Shivaji Nagar Church. The sanitation worker was cleaning the drain when the dead body of the newborn came to light. After this, when the police reached the spot, they saw that the newborn was lying in the drain. It is suspected that the child might have been someone’s illegitimate child who was thrown into the drain as soon as he was born. The police also interrogated the people nearby. It is also being checked whether anyone was pregnant in recent times. The people of the locality have also denied having any information during the interrogation. It is also suspected that someone might have come from outside and dumped the body of the newborn in the locality. At present Khursipar police is investigating the matter. The body of the newborn was sent to PM. Besides, surrounding CCTV footage is also being scrutinized.
